Why do I need Social Network Wizard?
If you’re here, chances are you’ve got one or two questions about social networks and how they work. What’s more, it’s likely that you’ve got important reasons for getting into social networking. Reasons like continued employment, career advancement, and perhaps even things like your continued ability to pay the mortgage. Said differently, you’re probably not reading a wordy FAQ document for fun. Your reasons for being here are serious.
We’re serious, too. The Social Network Wizard team are experts in social networking. We know the ins and outs of the services we recommend, and we’ll get you up and running the right way the first time.
Speaking of time, we’ll save you tons of that, too. We recommend that you belong to 7 social networks, and Skype. This, we believe, provides the perfect balance between keeping your name, experience and expertise “out there” for the world to see, and making sure you don’t end up typing your status into different websites all day, every day. Again, this isn’t a game for you. We Get That. We’ll set up the 7 profiles you need in less time than it would take you to set up just one. We’ll help you build a powerful, consistent Personal Brand from day one.
How do you know what I need from my Personal Brand?
Put simply, we ask! Then, we listen. Here’s how it works: When you become a Client, we direct you to our Master Profile page. This is where you enter – 1 time only – the data and information we’ll need to create your profiles. Naturally, this is a huge time saver. But it’s just the beginning.
After you complete your Master Profile, we get on the phone for a 1-hour consultation with a Personal Brand expert. The purpose of this call is to answer any questions you may have about how Personal Branding and social networking work. We’ll also have quite a few questions about you, your goals, and how we can help you best. This is not a boilerplate, volume business for us. This is about being truly helpful to people who truly need our help.
I’ve already got a Facebook account. How’s that work?
If you already have accounts on one or more of the services we cover, that’s no problem at all. We’ll cover this information during the Personal Branding Consultation so we can get into your existing accounts and make sure everything is set up to be consistent with the Personal Brand you want to build. In many ways, already having an account or two is an advantage, as it gives us more opportunity to fine-tune what’s already there.
How will I know you’re done?
Once we’re done setting up your profiles, we’ll let you know by email. After that, we will not log into your accounts again without your prior knowledge and permission. We also recommend – highly – that you change your passwords in your accounts the first time you log in. We’ll tell you exactly where to do that in each of your accounts.
I’m doing this to get a job. Can you guarantee that I’ll succeed?
Sadly, we cannot. Even in the best of times, there are thousands of variables in any job-hunt or career path. What we can promise is that the person with a professional, extensive Personal Brand and an online presence to match will have a huge advantage over the competition, especially if you also bring years of expertise and experience to the table.
What does it take to keep my accounts up to date?
All of the services we recommend have several ways to keep your profile up to date. The first, and best way they do this is by making the experience fun. Naturally, we recommend that you check in, communicate, and post often. This lets people know you’re not just phoning it in. During your live Personal Branding Consultation, we’ll talk extensively about how to get the most value – and enjoyment – from your social networking activities.
Will I end up with 7 new email addresses?
Yes, and no, but mostly, no. Where appropriate, we’ll set up email reminders to be sent to your primary email address. Each of these reminders from the different services will contain links back to the sites, which will allow you to communicate, post, and check in efficiently.
What if all this isn’t for me?
If you decide that social networking isn’t for you, you can simply cancel your accounts with each of the services. This is rare, indeed, however. Social networking can be great fun, truly educational, and from a career perspective, it’s simply a must.
My name is Bob Smith. How can people tell me apart from all the other Bob Smiths?
While the name Bob Smith may not be entirely unique, your email address is. Email addresses are how most of the services tell people apart. It’s also how people online tell one another apart. So, while your display name may match that of another person, your email address, and more importantly, your experience and profile will not. You, Bob Smith, are unique in the world.
